HA filler for men: frequently asked questions
Straight answers to what men want to know before deciding.
Legal and safety
Is this legal in Thailand?
Yes, when a licensed doctor performs it in a licensed medical facility using Thai FDA-registered HA filler. If any of these is missing, it is illegal. Always ask to see the licence numbers.
What does off-label mean here?
HA fillers registered in Thailand are approved for the face. Using them elsewhere is off-label use, which doctors may do at their professional discretion. We explain this before you sign the consent form.
What are the risks?
Common: swelling, bruising or small lumps, which usually settle or can be corrected. Rare but serious: infection, blocked blood vessels, and material or clots travelling to other vessels, which can be life-threatening. See the Safety page for details.
Who should not have it?
People with an infection or wound in the area, bleeding disorders or blood thinners, allergy to HA or local anaesthetic, or expectations beyond what filler can do.
I had silicone or paraffin injected before. Can I have filler?
The doctor must assess you first. Usually the old material has to be treated first, sometimes surgically. We do not inject filler over foreign material.
Which filler brand do you use?
Only HA fillers registered with the Thai FDA, bought from licensed distributors. The doctor shows you the product, registration number and lot number on the day.
Procedure and recovery
Does it hurt?
The doctor uses local anaesthetic. Most people feel tightness or mild discomfort during the injection.
How long does it take?
About 90 minutes in total, including the anaesthetic injection and observation.
Can I go back to my hotel or work the same day?
Yes. Normal daily activity is fine, but some activities must be avoided for the period the doctor specifies.
How long must I avoid sex?
14 days, so the filler can settle and to reduce infection risk.
Can I consult online first?
Yes. Send questions privately on WhatsApp or LINE, or book a video call with the doctor. The final decision to treat is made after an in-person examination.
Results
How much size can I gain?
It varies with anatomy and the volume that is safe for you. Filler mainly increases girth. The doctor gives you a realistic assessment at the consultation.
Does it increase length?
No. Filler mainly increases girth, not length.
Will it affect erection or sensation?
Filler is placed under the skin. It is not designed to change sexual function and we make no claims that it does. If you already have erection problems, see a doctor about them first.
How long does it last? Is it permanent?
It is not permanent. Results usually last around 12–24 months as the body gradually breaks down the HA.
Will I need top-ups?
To keep the result, yes. Top-ups usually need less volume than the first session. The doctor assesses this at follow-up.
Can it be removed if I do not like it?
Yes. The doctor can inject the enzyme hyaluronidase to dissolve HA, unlike liquid silicone or paraffin, which are very hard to remove.
Price, privacy and travel
How much does it cost?
It depends on the volume the doctor recommends. Per-cc prices are on the Pricing page, and you get the final price before treatment.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. Records are kept under Thai medical facility law and the PDPA, nothing is disclosed without your consent.
How many days should I stay in Thailand?
We recommend at least [XX] days after treatment so you can attend a follow-up check before flying home.
Repair
I had oil or silicone injected. Can it be repaired?
It can be treated with surgery by our specialist team. We start with an ultrasound to see the extent of the substance, then plan treatment individually.
My filler faded early or became lumpy. Can it be fixed?
Yes. If it is HA filler, the doctor dissolves the problem areas with an enzyme under ultrasound guidance, then re-injects.
I don't know what was injected. What should I do?
Start with an ultrasound, which can help give an initial distinction between HA filler, silicone and oil.
Circumcision
How long does circumcision take to heal?
The wound usually heals in about 2–4 weeks, and most men return to normal activities in about 4–6 weeks, as advised by the doctor.
Can I have circumcision and filler on the same day?
Yes, if the doctor considers it suitable. The doctor will always explain the benefits and risks first.
